Who We Help.

Who We Help
We provide diagnostic evaluations and individualized intervention for children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing difficulties with communication, literacy, learning, attention, or academic performance. Some clients come to us for a comprehensive evaluation to identify the nature of their difficulties and determine appropriate recommendations. Others begin therapy with us after completing an evaluation through a school, hospital, or another private professional.
Children with Speech and Language Difficulties
We evaluate and treat children who have difficulty producing speech sounds clearly, understanding spoken language, expressing their thoughts, learning vocabulary, following directions, remembering verbal information, or organizing sentences and narratives.
Students with Dyslexia and Reading Difficulties
We provide diagnostic evaluations for students who struggle with decoding, reading accuracy and fluency, spelling, or reading comprehension. We also provide structured, multisensory reading intervention for students with dyslexia and other language-based reading difficulties. Our therapists are trained in the Wilson Reading System®.
Students with Writing Difficulties
We evaluate and support students who have difficulty with spelling, sentence construction, grammar, organizing ideas, or expressing themselves effectively in writing. Diagnostic testing can clarify whether these challenges are related to dysgraphia, language weaknesses, executive functioning, or another learning difficulty. Intervention is tailored to the student’s specific areas of need.
Students with Listening and Reading Comprehension Difficulties
Some students can read words accurately but have difficulty understanding, remembering, or explaining what they have read. Others struggle to follow lectures, take notes, interpret complex language, draw inferences, or understand information that is implied rather than directly stated. We provide evaluation and intervention to identify and address the language skills underlying these difficulties.
Students with Attention and Executive Functioning Concerns
We evaluate students who have difficulty sustaining attention, remembering instructions, organizing materials and assignments, managing time, beginning tasks, or completing work efficiently. Diagnostic testing can help determine how attention, language, memory, processing speed, learning, and emotional factors may be affecting performance and guide recommendations for treatment and educational support.
Children with Social Communication Difficulties
We evaluate and treat children who have difficulty interpreting social cues, understanding another person’s perspective, joining or maintaining conversations, making inferences, or adjusting their communication for different people and situations.
Adolescents and Young Adults
We work with adolescents and young adults whose language, literacy, attention, or learning difficulties affect high school, college, standardized testing, or daily functioning. Evaluations include practical recommendations for intervention, educational planning, and appropriate accommodations. Therapy and academic intervention focus on the specific skills needed for greater independence and success.
Getting Started
Before therapy or intervention begins, each client must have an appropriate evaluation completed through our practice or provide a recent evaluation from another qualified professional for our review. Evaluation findings are used to determine the appropriate services and develop an individualized treatment plan.
